If your life has been feeling a little heavy, cluttered, or out of rhythm lately… this is your gentle invitation to refresh.
Not all at once. Not perfectly. Just slowly, and in a way that actually feels good.
As the first signs of spring begin to show, there’s a natural pull to refresh your space, your routines, and your mindset. But instead of overwhelming yourself with a complete reset, this is your chance to begin softly—one small shift at a time.
This week isn’t about doing everything – it’s about preparing your space and your mind to welcome spring. I have tried to do the complete Spring Cleaning Reset and have tried to complete it in a weekend and it is daunting.
I never actually finish because I try to cram so much into a very small amount of time. And then because I don’t finish in the time I have allotted to doing this massive cleaning session, I feel like a failure and the list ends up getting lost or thrown out and then my “RESET” never happens. So I have decided to focus on a few things at a time spread over the next week.
Therefore, I am not considering this a reset – it is more of a refresh. I want to refresh my space and my time for Spring.
If you would like to join along, in this post you will find:
- realistic ideas that won’t overwhelm you
- simple ways to refresh your space
- gentle habits to reset your routine
This Week’s Focus:
Lighten. Refresh. Make Space.
1. Open the Windows (Even for 5 Minutes)
Let fresh air move through your home.
It’s one of the simplest ways to shift the energy of a space and your mood.
I will be doing this every day. The weather is perfect right now where I am, so why not enjoy it!

2. Clear One Surface Each Day
Not the whole house.
Start with the space you use the most – your kitchen counter or nightstand. When that one area feels calm, everything else starts to feel a little lighter too.
Pick one and start there:
- your kitchen counter
- your nightstand
- your bathroom sink

3. Add One Touch of Spring
Bring something fresh into your space:
- flowers
- a bowl of fruit
- fresh herbs
It doesn’t have to be elaborate to feel meaningful. I have always found that just adding some flowers to my dining room table instantly lifts my mood.

4. Simplify Your Morning (Just a Little)
This week, choose one small ritual:
- sit with your coffee
- make a simple breakfast
- grab a glass of water and your journal
Let your mornings feel less rushed and more intentional. Enjoy the time that you have.

5. Do a Gentle Fridge Reset
Not a deep clean – just a refresh.
- toss anything old
- wipe shelves quickly
- make space for fresh food

6. Step Outside Daily
Even 5–10 minutes counts.
Fresh air helps you feel more grounded and present.

7. Let It Be Enough
You don’t need to do everything.
Choose one or two things from this list and start there.
This morning I opened up the windows, made a cup of coffee, and just stood there enjoying the fresh air softly coming in, the sound of the birds chirping, with my favorite beverage in hand.
It was such a small thing, but it changed the entire feel of my day.

Closing
Spring doesn’t arrive all at once. It unfolds slowly and you can too.
You don’t need to do everything on this list.
Just choose one small thing to start today.
Let it be simple. Let it be enough.
And come back to this whenever you need a gentle reset 🌿
